Evaluation of my Blogging Experience

Hello!

Today, I will talk about my experience writting in the “Toti Quiroz” Blog.

Well, I want to said I never have had a blog. This is my first blog and I like write in it, although I had a lot of difficulties because I know few English. For this reason, I used a lot the dictionary.

 I like the experience because it was fun to remember about some things as the family reunion that appear in a photo. But the most fun was to share my interests, know the things that my classmates are interested for example, thair favourite artista and know things I don't know as come art magazines..

I find it a good way to practice and integrate the subjects I learned in English I and II on grammar. In this experience, I got more vocabulary to talk about various topics and I could practice writing, but do not achieve very well. Another positive aspect is that it is a good way to not feel sleepy, although we are tired and the class too late. So, I think that optimizes our performance.

In the future, I would like to write about the city, the cook, the music.

Really, I am grateful to have made this blog because I think it is a good tool to share interests.

  

my best holidays!!

In this ocation I will talk about one of the best holidays I have had. In the summer of 2012, my boyfriend and me diceded to go to the some national park in the south of chili. We never visited some national park. Therefore, we searched in internet pictures of national parks. The photographs of the parks were nice but the pictures of the national park “Conguillio” were really beatiful. For this reason, we choosed this place in the region of the“Araucania”.

The “Conguillio” park is east of “Temuco”. It called by the lake “Conguillio”. The park has a forest of “Araucaria” and “Coigüe” and glaciers. Also, in the park is the “Llaima” volcano and many lakes of transparent water. The park only is open in summer because the winter snows.

In the park you can camp or rent shack.

Well, as I was saying, the landscape is beatiful. I don't know why, but since I was a child I like the “Araucaria” tree, maybe because I was surprised by his height. Therefore, when I visited the park I love it. I loved trekking through the forest of "Araucaria" and knowed the “Araucaria mother”. It was 100 years old.

If you want to visit this park I recommend you see the weather forecast or you go preparate for the rain because my visit was interrupted by a rainstorm. We didn't knowed about it and we weren't preparate for the south's rain.

I hope to go soon!

A country I'd like to visit in the future.

 Hello!,
  Although during this time I want to travel less, still I will like to go to China, because I like the milenary culture and the hilly landscape.
  
  Well, I have known a few about the chinese medicine because  friends that study chinese medicine have told me and I searched in the web about them. It`s amazing that the chinese have discovered a channel system where subtle energy flows. I try to feel the system but only I feel sleepy. I think that the chinese could feel the system only meditating.

 Also, I know about the kung fu and tai chi. I saw a documentary about a Chaolin monastery, place where they teach kung fu. It is really surprising the hardworking routine and the discipline they have. 

  There is an aspect I know that Isn't good. A teacher that visited China told me that in China he knew the political police, and is a police that represses and censorship. 

  If I visit China I would like to go to the chinese wall and to a village inhabited by artists and poets. Also I would like to eat fried insects.

  I would not like live, study or work in China because I think I would not get used because China is a very different country.

Hi people,
Now, I'm going to present a website I visit a lot. The website is called "lalulula.tv".

This website is a library that contains videos about contemporary artists and artistic movements in XX and XXI century. The website offers the possibility to enter to the videos of different categories as:
 - Cinema
 - Short
 - Documentary
 - Author
 - T.V.

In lalulula.tv you can find movies, series, shorts and documentary.

During this time, I watched 4 series or documental at night per week.
I Like this website because I like watch interesting videos. These videos are interesting for me because they show me the context of art now in others countries that for the moment I don't visit.

Also, I appreciate the website because I can know better the artists because in the videos they are interviewed.

In the website I discovered a t.v. series called "art safari".  The t.v. series is conduced by Ben Lewis. This t.v. series is my favorite. Ben Lewis is very entertaining and I learn with his reflection.

My favourite artist

In this sesion I'm going to talk about Giorgio Morandi, the painter I most admire.

Giorgio Morandi was an italian artist of the early XX century. About that time, in Europa appear the avant-gardes art as Futurism in Italy. The avant-gardes art searched to change the art and the world, combining art with cotidian life for have a good world. Although they didn't achieve to change the world, now the avant-gardes art are benchmark. Giorgio Morandi never belonged to some avant-garde art, however, also he is a important benchmark.

Giorgio Morandi was an academicist artist that he dedicated a lifetime to paint still life, specially bottle with the technique of stain. He painted in a workshop that It was special for him, because It had a light he liked.

I like his painting because It have vitality that moves. This sensation is intensifier to compare with the static objects.

I met this artist in the first year of career in the subject Color because I did a job related with Giorgio Morandi.

A photograph I like

Hi classmates!
the picture I am going to show today is an old image. The picture I saw a few time ago, because my cousin upload to facebook. When I saw the picture I fell nostalgic.
I don't know exactly the year when It was taken, but I think it was taken around 1994.
I don't know who took the picture, but I know who are in the picture. They are my cousins, my sister and me. Their names are (from left to right) Marco, Michael, Daniela, Fany, Raul, Tito, Jenniffer and Jocelyn (me).

In the picture, we are in "Talca", at the grandmother's house, that It was the place where the family was meeting to eat "humitas" or corn cake with tomato. I remember my grandmother cooking these wonderful meals for many hours, because the family was big.

I like this picture, because I enjoyed the meeting with my cousins because I could play all the day, and my grandmothers because I loved her food.

My favourite piece of technology

Hi,
Since I have my computer I never hired an internet service because I prefered to spend the money in others stuffs for example a book or for I go to the theatre. Also because I think that if I will have internet I will be addicted to the internet . That's why I went to the places that offer free internet, at the library or the University.

When I go to this places I download movies and TV programs of different cultures or countries, specially if it has educational contents. I download them because I can watch them in my house because I don't feel comfortable in the university or the library for watch movies.

I collect many movies and TV programs that I download because It's good. So with the time, I need an external hard drive because my computer was full of information. Coincidentally,  my father in law gifted me an external hard drive. This object is really useful for me because I can watch programs with contents that I need to study and also I can stay peaceful without facebook or the publicity.

That's why, my favourite piece of technology is the external hard drive.

My expectations for this universitary semester are varied.

In the experimental class I am making a work related with the pre-hispanic culture and I am happy for them because I like all about pre-hispanic culture or indigenous culture. For this reason, I am very exciting about the result. Also because, in the career don't teach about this topic, so I had to investigate a lot. My expectations is that I will be able to solve my work with the solid arguments.

I have the other class, the name is artistic practice in the public space. In the class, I have to do small artistic or poetry interventions in the city and I like to do interventions alone but I have difficulties to do interventions because I have fear when I stay in many places. So I wish to have bravery.

And finally, I expect to learn a lot in the english class.

Hi  classmates, My name is Jocelyn, I was born in Santiago de Chile. I lived in many cities, I lived in Santiago, Antofagasta, Talca, Valparaíso and Iquique, and actually I live in Santiago.

I studied at 5 different schools, and now, I study Plastic Arts at Universidad de Chile.

My family live in Valparaíso and Iquique. I can visit to my parents and my brother once a year, because they live far, in Iquique, and I visit to my sister more frequently because she lives in Valparaíso. My brother study in the high school and My sister finished to study Architecture. I like visit my family because I miss them and I eat good food when I visit them.

In my free time I like to watch movies, ride my bicycle around the Santiago and cook cakes. My favourite movies are "Piedad" from Kim Ki Duk, "Anticristo" from Lars Von Trier or "El aroma de la papaya verde" from Anh Hung Tran.

Presentation

  My name is Jocelyn Quiroz Bravo. I am 26 old years. I was born in Santiago, at August 10, 1989. Actually, I live in Ñuñoa since 2009. I study plastic arts at the Universidad de Chile and I work doing yoga class for kids.
  I like my work because it's funny and I like my career because I like to work with my hands and investigate. Also, I like walk at the San Cristobal hill and San Ramón hill.
  I go to the university riding my bicycle grey because is very fast. It takes me 15 minutes to get from my home.
